Have a question you haven't found the time to ask about your child at his or her well-child visit? Are you secretly anxious about something that you've been Googling? What can you do about your daughter's propensity to stick her finger in her nose at Grandma's house?
Now's your chance to ask Dr. Susan Daniels of Acorn Pediatrics your questions. Submit them by replying to this thread or by emailing askleap@dailychronicle.com. Questioners may remain anonymous, if they wish. |
One of the things I am most looking forward to in LEAP is our page of "Local LEAPers"--reader-submitted photos of kids doing fun things! If you're interested in having your kids or grandkids in LEAP, here is the way to do it:

I don't often feed my child McDonalds- but when I do, I keep the toy from the Happy Meal in the glove box of the car or in the diaper bag instead of giving it to him right away. Then, when he is over being in the car on a road trip or if we are at a restaurant and he is bored, I pull out the new toy for him to play with.

I was one of the moms you talked about in your last issue "For many working parents, summer vacation is no picnic". Our two older children were raised in daycare and I hated summer vacation, christmas vacation, spring break, etc. It was even worse when they were too old to go to daycare and were left at home by themselves. I did not realize that there are ways to work from home and earn a great living while taking care of your family.

LEAP is looking for Bozeman families with roots in another culture who are passing that culture on to their kids in the kitchen. If you're a first-generation immigrant or international student and love to cook with your kids, we want to hear from you. Please reply to this post or email me at leap@dailychronicle.com.
I look forward to hearing from you!

My parents bought my six-year-old son an iPod for Christmas. I was lukewarm about the gift, although it was something he had specifically requested after experiencing his seven-year-old cousin's iPod. Now that he has it, he only listens to it for maybe a half an hour a day and only when we can supervise him, but he still really tunes out and is hard to reach during that time. How do any of you handle the tuned-out kid?
